A/B testing module

The "A/B testing" module compares organic content, ads, ad groups, campaigns, and ad accounts.

The A/B testing module is available in dashboards and campaigns and has two modes:

  • A/B testing. This comparison allows you to select up to 26 organic content, ad groups, campaigns, and accounts and compare them with each other under the set of metrics you want.
  • Referent vs. A/B. This comparison allows you to select an organic content, ad group, campaign, or account as a benchmark and then choose up to 25 more content, which compares against the first one under the set of metrics you want.

Step by step — how to create a new comparison

  1. Go to the "A / B TESTING" module tab in one of your brands or campaigns.

  2. Click on "New comparison."
  • If you already have comparisons created, you can create new ones with this button:image-2.png
  1. Hovering over it brings up three options:
  • New comparison.
  • Add note.
  • Add image.
  1. Click on "New comparison."

  2. Select between the two comparison types.

A/B testing

  1. Choose a name for the comparison to be made.
  2. You can activate the comparison to show in the report. If you enable this option, you must select the validity period as well.

  3. Select if you want to make a comparison on social or paid media.
  4. Logos are displayed, identifying each of the connected networks. You can compare content on the same network or between different networks (cross channel).
  • If you select "Social media," you can choose and compare publication contents.

  • By selecting "Paid media," you can choose and compare ads, ad groups, campaigns, and even ad accounts.

  1. You will see all the available content by selecting the network (s) and later filtering the search period.

  2. Click on each of the items you want to compare. As you select them, you will see them grouped in the list on the right.

  3. Click next, and Bunker DB analytics will take you to the metrics selection panel.

  4. From here, you can select all the metrics you want in your comparison.
    As you select them, they will appear in the list on the right, where you can sort them as you wish or delete them.

    Each network has its set of available metrics. If you perform a cross-channel comparison, you will only see the metrics shared between the selected networks.

  5. When you finish the selection, you must click on "Save," and you will have your A/B testing comparison configured.

Referent vs. A/B

  1. Repeat steps 1 to 5 of the A/B Testing option.
  2. Once you select the content, ad groups, or campaigns, you can choose the referent by clicking on the gray pin, which will turn green afterward.

  3. Click "Next."
  4. Choose the metrics as described in step 9 of the A/B Testing option.
  5. When you finish the selection, you must click on "Save" and compare Referent vs. A/B configured.

  • All your comparisons will be available in the "A/B testing" tab, from where you can access each of them.

  • Comparisons can be edited or deleted from the edit icon of each comparison ( ⠇).
  • You can't undo this action; if you delete a comparison, you will have to configure it again from the beginning.
