Create custom charts

The custom charts functionality is available for dashboard and paid media campaigns. It has six different types of grafics.

Custom charts are not available in "social media" or "owned media" modules.

How to create a chart

  1. Go the «Social media» or «Paid media» section on your Analytics or Campaign module

  2. Go the network´s header where you want to create the chart

  3. Click on «Create chart».

The custom chart window will be displayed.

It´s suggested to no create more than 10 charts per period

  • As an alternative, you can use the «Create chart» option within the header menu edition instead ( ⠇)

  1. Choose a name and validity period for the chart.

  2. Select from the different types of charts available.

  3. Click «Next».

Pie chart option

  1. Select the content level and period that be used to made the search.

The «accounts» level is only available for the bar charts option

2. Click on each one of the contents that you want to agrupe. Once they are selected, you will see them listed on the right.

3. No more than 20 contents are allowed by chart.

4. Select the metric that you want to use in the chart.


5. Click «Next».

6. Select two additional elements:

Grafic all dimensions. When this options is selected an area under the name of «Others» will be included on the chart summing all the no selected leves from step 1.

  • The option is no available when the comparison criteria is a non summable metric

    For example: frequency metrics.

  • Show descriptive table on the report. When this option is selected, a descriptive PDF table with colors, names and graph values will be displayed on the report.

    The option is no available for «Google search» network when the graphiched contents are «Keywords».

    The table is no displayable on the dashboard or campaign.

  1. Add a description for your chart (optional).

  2. Click «Save» and you will have your chart set.


    The chart will be visible under the custom header like this:


Donut chart option

Repeat steps 1 to 5 from the «Pie chart option».
No more than 20 contents are allowed by chart. One single metric could be chosen for each chart.
Select two aditional elements:

  • Grafic all dimensions. When this options is selected an area under the name of «Others» will be included on the chart summing all the no selected leves from step 1.

    The option is no available for «Google search» network when the graphiched contents are «Keywords».

  • Show descriptive table on the report. When this option is selected, a descriptive PDF table with colors, names and chart values will be displayed on the report.

[12] The table is no displayable on the dashboard or campaign.

Add a description for your chart (optional).
Click «Save» and you will have your chart set.

Column chart option

  1. Repeat steps 1 to 3 from the «Donut chart option».

  2. Select the metric that you want to use in the chart.

No more than 10 metrics are allowed by bar chart.

This option will be available only if more than one metric and content were selected

3. Select from these optional elements:

  • Group selector. Allows you to choose between two display options.

    • Group by content: All the selected contents will be displayed on the «y» axis where you´ll see a bar for each chosen metric

    • Group by metric: All the selected metrics will be displayed on the on the «y» axis where you´ll see a bar for each chosen content.

  • Stack group. This option overlaps the bars from the same group.

  • Graph evolution over time. When selecting this option, the graph displays simultaneously a weekly resolution and the period selected for the dashboard or campaign.

  • Show value on each bar when possible. This option adds the value of the Y-axis over each bar only if doesn't interfere visually with other value.

  • Show Y-axis logarithmically. This option is used to adapt the Y-axis. It will helps you to visualize the graphs which metrics has very different values on the Y-axis.

  • Show minimum visible height for columns. This option is visible when some columns values are equal zero. A minimum will be shown to display the data set.

  • Show descriptive table in report. When this option is selected, a descriptive PDF table with colors, names and chart values will be displayed on the report.

To finish click «Save».

The chart will be visible under the custom header like this:

Bars chart option

  1. Repeat steps 1 to 3 from the «Donut chart option».

  2. Select the metric that you want to use in the graph [17].

3. Select from these optional elements

  • Group selector. Allows you to choose between two display options.

    • Group by content: All the selected contents will be displayed on the «y» axis where you´ll see a bar for each chosen metric.

    • Group by metric: All the selected metrics will be displayed on the on the «y» axis where you´ll see a bar for each chosen content.

  • Stack group. This option overlaps the bars from the same group.

  • Show value on each bar when possible. This option adds the value of the Y-axis over each bar only if doesn't interfere visually with other value.

  • Show X-axis logarithmically. This option is used to adapt the X-axis. It will helps you to visualize the graphs which metrics has very different values on the X-axis.



  • Show minimum visible width for columns. This option is visible when some columns values are equal zero. A minimum will be shown to display the data set.

  • Show descriptive table in report. When this option is selected, a descriptive PDF table with colors, names and chart values will be displayed on the report.

  1. Add a description for the graph (optional)

  2. To finish click «Save».

The chart will be visible under the custom header like this:


Option line chart

  1. Repeat steps 1 to 4 from the «Pie chart option».

  2. Select the metric that you want to use.

This graph shows the evolution in time.

  • The graph shows the weekly, monthly and selected period resolution on the dashboard or campaign. Is no possible to disable the option.

  • The monthly dimension is only visible on the annual, semestral and quarterly period.

  • In case that the superiod choosen in the dashboard or campaign be «last (x) days» it will be visible only in this dimension.

  • The maximum quantity of subperiods that could be showed on the graphic are 12 (months or weeks)

  1. Select two optional elements:

  • Show value on each bar when possible. This option adds the value of the Y-axis over each bar only if doesn't interfere visually with other value.

  • Show descriptive table in report. When this option is selected, a descriptive PDF table with colors, names and chart values will be displayed on the report.

  1. Add a description for your chart (optional).

  2. Click «Save» and you will have your chart set.

    The chart will be visible under the custom header like this

Option funnel chart

  1. Repeat steps 1 to 4 from the «Pie chart option».

If only one content is selected, the chart levels will show the selected metrics from major to minor, following the funnel logic. Type and name of the content are displayed on the top.

2. Select the metric that you want to use

Select three optional elements

  • Sort metrics automatically. If this option is selected, the graph levels will be sorted by the metric value, from major to minor. This option is set by default. If it´s unchecked, the levels will be set according to the order given on the previous section

  • Customize the name of the metrics. With this option you can customize the graph levels.

  • Show descriptive table on the report. When this option is selected, a descriptive PDF table with colors, names and graph values will be displayed on the report.

  1. Add a description for your chart (optional).

  2. Click «Save» and you will have your chart set.


    The chart will be visible under the custom header like this:

Table option.

  1. Repeat steps 1 to 4 from the «Pie chart option».

  2. Select the metrics that you want to use.

If on the previous step you selected only one content, you will have to choose at last two metrics to compare. If more than one content was selected, the minimum of metrics to choose will be one.

3. Use the preview to check if the data has been set correctly

4. Add a description for your chart (optional).

5. Click «Save» and you will have your chart set.


The chart will be visible under the custom header like this:

  • There is three visualization options above the charts

    • Active charts.

    • Charts that will be shown in the report for this period.

    • All charts created.

  • You can edit or delete the charts using the edit icon on the right side corner ( ⠇).

  • Only «Superuser» can delete charts made by other users.

  • Once a chart is deleted the process cannot be reveresed. You will have to set a new one from scratch.

  • Charts could be printed or downloaded on JPG or PDF format clicking on the chart edit menu ( ⠇).
