Data enrichment through the uploading of events to the Consumer databases allows you to include new information or modify existing data - personal information of each consumer, their participation in campaigns, sales achieved, etc. - without the need to generate additional records.

Bunker DB Analytics allows you to manage your databases and add or update data from the Consumer module and from your campaigns. You can enrich the data you have, improve your understanding of your customers, their needs and expectations, and offer your customers a fully personalized experience.

What is data enrichment?

Data enrichment is a process that adds supplementary information to data sets (such as a consumer database), improving its accuracy, reliability and ensuring that it is up to date.

Data enrichment is important to get a more complete and accurate view of your customers. By adding additional information you gain a better understanding of customer needs, preferences and behaviors; this way you can make more informed decisions and personalize your marketing and sales strategies.

The process of data enrichment involves adding additional information - events - to an existing data set. From demographics, contact information, purchase history, to online interests and behaviors, among others. This information can be obtained through a variety of sources, such as surveys, public records or social networks, and translated into events that you can incorporate into your databases.

Upload events to your databases

In Bunker DB Analytics, you can upload events to your databases from the Consumers module or from your campaigns.

  1. Click on the «Load events» button from the Consumers module, in the Bunker DB campaigns or its edition.

  2. Select a file to import of type *.csv.

  3. Map the fields you want to update to your existing consumer base.

📑The fields associated with Sales will be displayed at the top of the list, while the Static fields (first name, last name, email, etc.) are located in the Enrichment category.

  4. Indicates which field should be used to match the new data and the existing records.
To modify your records or load sales successfully it is necessary that at least one of these three fields matches between Bunker DB and the new database:

    • Record id (userdata id in Bunker DB).

    • Record creation date and time (Record created at in Bunker DB).

    • External id with which the record is identified (external id in Bunker DB).

In the Import Summary you will see the name of your brand, the file uploaded to Bunker DB to update your database, the key field chosen to match your content and the fields enriched with new data. When the update is ready, an email will be sent to your Bunker DB user's email address.

Once you have updated your database, the change will be reflected in the profile of each consumer and you will be able to consult the history of modifications in each one.

In this example the fields "First name" "Last name" and "Email" have been modified.
